Pendula Artwork - Branches In The Breeze - Small / Single

The cherry blossom has been favoured among artists for centuries, for its natural grace and symbolic value. Each spring the cherry blossom tree returns to life; it is reborn. The gestural, hand-painted brushstrokes capture the fleeting beauty of these blossoms, against the elegant lustre of a silk ground. “Branches gently sway in the wind with the odd blossom fluttering off a branch, evoking the feeling a gentle breeze on a balmy spring”, says Sophie Paterson. The artwork is encased in a hand-applied bronze foil finish, offering depth and warmth, like aged metal catching the last light of day. Soft texture and layered metallic tones provide a contemporary aesthetic. Available in two sizes, with different compositions to be hung as a single, a pair or a triptych.
