Inspired by the Welsh landscape painter Kyffin Williams, the works in this series imagine paintings he might have created during his many sessions spent capturing the splendour of the Welsh coastline from his Anglesey vantage point. Echoing Williams’ distinctive treatment of light and his powerful renderings of seascapes and mountain forms, Sunset Over Sea captures the Snowdonia coastline beneath the soft, hazy glow of sunset. Mixed media on canvas. Framed in oiled, pickled and waxed oak.
